Gas Industries Ltd (Gasco) announced that 90 per cent of work on the Habshan 5 gas processing plant project was completed in May 2012. The announcement was published on Sunday in a Gasco magazine. The report pointed out that this major feat had been accomplished in 33 months, well ahead of the 50-month contractual period for the project. Gasco attributed the achievement to good business planning, management creativity and team work.The Habshan 5 Process Plant is designed to process 1,000 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of offshore gas from Umm Shaif and an additional 1,000 MMSCFD of onshore gas comprising of a mix of associated gas from ADCO and non-associated high sour gas from the Habshan fields.from gulfnews.com
