The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said on Saturday that Egypt's oil exports decreased by 38 percent during August to reach dlrs 310.2 million down from dlrs 500.6 million in the same period of the previous year.
A report, received by CAPMAS and MENA received a copy of it, said the volume of oil imports in August reached 920.5 million tons up from 879.4 tons in the same month of the previous year with 4.7 percent increase.
The report also pointed out to a decrease in the oil and natural gas consumption during September to reach 6.191 million tons compared with 6.194 million tons of the same month the year before.
Meanwhile, production of natural gas in September dropped to reach 2.686 million tons compared with 3.011 million tons in the same period of the past year.
