Head of planning and supervision on exploration activities at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Mollayee told Shana that during the last Iranian calendar year drilling operations hit 108 rig-months equivalent to 96 percent of the target. According to the official, during the period 38.700 meters of wells were drilled, 107 percent more than what had been foreseen in the plans. Also in the last year, 10 wells were tested, which means the realization of 98 percent of the target, amid drilling 9 wells. Mollayee said seismic operations in onshore sector reached 1.357 kilometers, implying achieving the target by 59 percent. \"Based on NIOC planning, we were obliged to carry 1.100 kilometers of three dimensional seismic but 3-D seismic operations surpassed 1.192 kilometers which was 117 percent above the target,\" the official noted. Also five comprehensive studies were on the agenda of which 46 percent was carried out, according to the Mollayee. He mentioned that in addition to this year programs, exploration division will pursue the remained works from the last year. The official noted that 5 percent of the Oil ministry\'s budget has been allocated to the NIOC\'s exploration department this year.
