Al-Salam Sudan ban has won the award of the best bank in Sudan for 2010 provided by American Magazine \"Global Finance\" which is one of the most prestigious journals specialized in international banking. The development confirms the growing world appreciation of the Bank\'\'s successive achievements and the distinctive services due to its ability to achieve growth in financial assets and profits. Vice Chairman of the Bank\'\'s Board of Directors Hussein Al-Miza said the bank made n 2010 a net profit that amounted to 2.36 million Sudanese pounds after tax and zakat deductions. He noted that the assets of the bank realized a growth of 23 % or 337 million pounds by the end of 2010 compared to 1.86 billion pounds by the end of 2009, adding that the Bank has succeeded in raising the value of customer deposits to 924 million pounds with at a rate of growth reaching 25%. The Bank achieved a total revenues of 97 million pounds by the end of 2010 compared to 92 million pounds by the end of 2009 with a growth rate of 5 / per cent. It is worth mentioning that the Al-Salam Sudan Bank, which is the fruit of a cooperation AED - Gulf - Sudanese cooperation began to provide banking services in the May 2005 and is one of the largest banks in the Khartoum Stock Exchange.
