The total volume of deposits of the government and private sectors grew by KD 1.76 billion or 5.4 percent in August on an annual basis from KD 32.88 billion in the corresponding month last year, according to the monthly report of Kuwait Finance House (KFH). On the monthly basis the deposits declined by KD 369 million or one percent in August to KD 34.6 billion. The private deposits went down by one percent while the government deposits declined by 1.9 percent in August compared with the previous month, the report added.
