Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Banks Hisham Ezz el Arab said that a number of legislative amendments will be announced in the coming period to develop the banking sector, especially those concerning dealing with small and medium-enterprises.
This came during a conference on Thursday on switching to cashless economy that was organized by the Federation of Industries and the Federation of Egyptian Banks.
He added that the small and medium-enterprises will be funded without having to present official documents because such projects are not operating within an official framework.
The Egyptian government gives these projects a top priority because they contribute to developing national economy.
Meanwhile, Federation of Industries undersecretary Tarek Tawfik called for reconsidering the legislative reforms concerning cash and to link them with the government's economic reforms that aim to enhance the investment climate.
He also urged reconsidering the educational system in order to meet the needs of the labor market in the upcoming period.
Tawfik pointed out that skilled workers attract more investments to the country
