BOC Aviation, a subsidiary of Bank of China Group, delivered six Embraer E190 aircrafts to a KLM subsidiary Cityhopper under an operating lease agreement, BOC Group announced here in a statement on Friday. According to the statement, all six aircrafts are a part of KLM Cityhopper's fleet replacement program, which continues to enhance the passenger comfort, operational reliability, as well as efficiency and limit the environmental footprint. "The delivery of the six E190s to KLM marks the beginning of a relationship formed between BOC Aviation and KLM," Steven Townend, Chief Commercial Officer of BOC Aviation said. "We are very happy to see that BOC Rotterdam branch is actively supporting our airline customer's financing requirement, which represents a truly comprehensive cooperation between KLM and BOC Group," he continued. Jan F. Witsenboer, Senior Vice President of Corporate Fleet Development of KLM mentioned that KLM was very satisfied with the recent transactions with BOC Group. "KLM hopes to extend this partnership to a broader scope in terms of aircraft leasing, financing as well as other banking products and services," said the senior vice president. BOC Aviation is a leading Asia-based aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of more than 200 modern aircrafts operated by around 50 airlines worldwide.
