The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) on Tuesday announced that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, had been oversubscribed by 250%.
Subscriptions worth BD50 million were received for the BD20 million issue, which carries a maturity of 182 days.
The expected return on the issue, which begins on 12 February 2015 and matures on 13 August 2015, is 0.75 % compared to 0.82% for the previous issue on 15 January 2015.
The Sukuk Al-Ijara are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is issue No.114 (BH000958O430) of the short-term Sukuk Al-Ijara series.
