While at CES, I got a chance to check out one of Lenovo’s newest products, the Yoga. I can only assume that it was given this name because of all the positions it can bend in. The Yoga has a unique swivel hinge that can allow the keyboard to swing all the way around. It can also form a “tent mode” which will flip over the screen, which will be excellent for presentations. And you thought the ASUS Aspire S5 was the coolest ultrabook that was revealed at CES this year! As you might be able to tell from the photo, the Yoga will be running Windows 8. The company did not know how much that will affect the Yoga, but they are preparing for it. Since it has a touchscreen, the user can access the Yoga like a tablet, and the keyboard will be disabled while in this position. By the way, the touchscreen has 10 point multitouch capacity. The rest of the specs look very interesting. The screen is 13.3 inches with a resolution of 1600 x 900. When folded, it is at 0.67 inches thick and weighs in at 3.1 pounds. You should be able to purchase the Lenovo Yoga in the second half of Q2 for a price of about $1,199.
