That pretty much sums up WhatsApp's power nowadays.
The Facebook-owned messaging platform announced in a blog post that it has hit the one-billion mark in terms of active users, meaning that number of souls use WhatsApp every single day.
This is different from their post in February last year, in which they announced that one billion people are using WhatsApp; a user is one that is registered to an account, but that doesn't necessarily mean that person is using it, much more on a regular basis (ever created a dummy account to spy on or troll someone?).
That's not all: WhatsApp also revealed that its Snapchat Stories-esque Status has over 250 million active users. That puts it ahead of Line, Pinterest and LinkedIn, almost at par with Viber, and just breathing down the necks of Skype, Snapchat and Twitter.
"Just last year, we shared that one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every month," it said in the post.
"Today, we are excited and proud to announce to share that one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every day to stay in touch with their family and friends."
Next platform for WhatsApp to chase in the social media sites race? None other than its parent, Facebook, with its over two-billion-strong army.
It's going to take a miracle for WhatsApp to be king of this whole thing.
