Samsung on Wednesday announced the launch of two new smartphones in its Galaxy J Pro series in the UAE - the Galaxy J5 Pro and Galaxy J7 Pro.
And this only means one thing: more reasonably-priced phones, especially for those who want a great mobile experience but wouldn't want to spend much - they'll be flying off shelves for only Dh899 an Dh1,049, respectively.
The new devices feature high performance in a metal body design. And both basically have the same specs; the J5 Pro has a 5.2-inch full-HD Super Amoled screen, 1.6GHz octa-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage with up to 256GB microSD support and 13MP on both cameras.
The J7 Pro, meanwhile, has 5.5-inch FHD Super Amoled display, 1.6GHz octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage with up to 256GB microSD support and 13MP on both cameras.
Both also come with a fingerprint scanner, NFC and ramped-up security.
Samsung's aim is to bring devices that "meet their lifestyles, tastes and budgets", and would appeal to "existing and new customers seeking a... powerful smartphone from a premium brand", Tarek Sabbagh, head of Samsung Gulf Electronics' IT and mobile division, said in a statement.
