Onam, the Indian festival celebrating harvest that begins on August 25, will also be the time Indian consumers can reap some good deals with Samsung.
The South Korean tech giant on Friday announced its 'Twin Win' offer, and it simply goes this way:
. Consumers will get discounts on extended warranty and finance offers
. Those buying Samsung smartphones can opt for the Triple Zero finance scheme under which select mobiles are available with zero down-payment, zero interest and zero processing fee
. Customers will be eligible for up to 65 per cent discount on extended warranty for all Samsung phones
In a release announced on Samsung Newsroom India, the company says that the Twin Win promo "not only increases the affordability of India's most-loved smartphones, but also gives consumers peace of mind through extended warranty".
A report on Friday by Malaysia's The Star Online, quoting figures from the International Data Corporation, says that Samsung continues to be the leader in the Indian smartphone market, though Chinese brands are fast catching up and has eaten up market share. Samsung, in its release, says it has a market share of over 40 per cent in Kerala, the Indian state where Onam traces its origins.
Samsung also added that it plans to execute the offer through its retail network of 3,800 partner stores, 40 exclusive stores and 48 service centres across Kerala.
