Gitex Shopper's autumn edition is closing today and there will be a host of great deals for consumers on the last day from the electronics retailers participating in the exhibition.
For those who want to cash in on these mouth-watering deals today but are short of cash, some of the best options are being offered by banks to their customers as part of their tie-up with exhibitors at the event.
Customers are offered not just the option of zero-interest monthly installment plans but good discounts and full refund of the purchases among other attractive financing options.
The financial institutions have joined hands with the retailers for some tempting deals for the residents looking to buy - or upgrade - their new gadgets, devices or home appliances.
Emirates NBD, Dubai's largest bank, is offering discounts to its card holders in a tie-up with Sharaf DG at the event.
"Enjoy your Gitex shopping with Emirates NBD Cards. Spend a minimum Dh1,500 this Gitex and pay with your Emirates NBD Card, Emirates NBD Pay or Samsung Pay and receive a guaranteed Emaar Gift Voucher up to Dh850," the bank said in a statement on its website.
Customers looking for discounts can get 10 per cent off on select products at Sharaf DG using the bank's cards. They can also avail zero per cent installment plan up to 12 months across participating partners.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) is also offering its card-holders an opportunity to make the most of discounts at Gitex Shopper.
"Pay with ADIB Covered Card at Gitex. Be one of the five customers to win 100 per cent cashback. Convert your purchases into three-, six- or 12-month EIP plan [equipment installment plan] with zero per cent processing fees and 100 per cent waiver of Murabaha Monthly installments. Spend Dh1,000 and win up to Dh1,000 cash back instantly. Offer is valid on Samsung main stand, Gitex Shopper and Samsung brand shop operated by Jacky's," according to the bank's website.
The previous edition of Gitex Shopper last year saw exhibitors collecting over Dh240 million in sales with more than 200,000 visitors. According to Euromonitor International, the UAE's consumer electronics market is expected to continue to benefit from economic growth and surging shopping tourism. The UAE's consumer electronics market is now worth $11.3 billion (Dh41.47 billion).
National Bank of Abu Dhabi is also rewarding its customers, offering five additional NBAD Stars for Dh1 spent at any electronic store during Gitex Shopper. Customers can also get up to 12 months zero per cent monthly installment at select partners. NBAD Stars can be redeemed for Etihad Guest Miles, Skyward Miles, flydubai e-voucher and more.
Mashreq bank is also offering its customers cashback, 10 per cent discount on over 100 electronic products and instant zero per cent easy payment plan as part of its Gitex Shopper package.
It offers five per cent cashback up to Dh1,250 on electronic purchases using Mashreq's credit or a debit cards at Gitex venue or any electronic store in the UAE.
The bank offers two per cent cash on purchases of Dh5,000, three per cent on Dh10,000, four per cent on Dh15,000 and five per cent on Dh25,000.
