Ooredoo Qatar’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Waleed Al Sayed said Monday that the company is working on becoming the leading integrated ICT provider in Qatar and detailed its ongoing work to prepare to launch 5G services in Qatar at the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference taking place in Doha.
Al Sayed said that the rise of the ‘Internet of Things’ means that Qatar needs networks that can support billions of connected devices, as well as millions of people. He added that the investment in the Ooredoo Supernet means the company will be ready for the technological evolution. and will offer our customers the latest solutions as they become available. During his Keynote Speech, Al sayed displayed a video showcasing the Supernet’s services that will be provided to customers in Qatar. Highlights included the nationwide use of smart payments, mobile ticketing and a country-wide super-fast 5G connection.
