People considering buying the iPhone 6 in September better be ready to pull out their wallets.
The new iPhone 6 is reportedly going to cost more than $800 for the overhauled design.
It was rumored in April that the price would be increasing by approximately $100. Details about the new products are being kept secret by Apple prior to the launch, but the latest reports show much higher prices.
The iPhone 6 is expected to come with screens in two larger sizes, one at 4.7 inches and the other at 5.5 inches. According to TechRadar, the models are expected to start at $858 and $966 respectively. The prices reflect the cost without a contract renewal. A subsidized contract renewal could result in costs starting at $199.
In addition to the larger screens, the iPhone 6 is expected to have a larger battery -- a problem that has been dogging Apple -- and a thinner body. It is also rumored that it will feature a faster processor. One of the more significant reports is that the screen will be comprised of sapphire crystal, making the screens stronger and more scratch resistant.
Barring production delays, the iPhone 6 is expected to be launched September 9.
