Expat scientists in the US and Canada in health, environment, electrical energy and space fields asserted their willingness to provide their scientific and practical experiences to achieve Egypt's renaissance in the various fields.
In a video-conference meeting staged by the Egyptian Manpower and Immigration Ministry on Saturday, they also have expressed their willingness to cooperate with the government and called for providing facilities for establishing large-scale projects to support the development process.
Minister Nahed Ashri said the meeting aimed to exchange expertise with Egyptian scientists in these countries to benefit from their experience in the implementation of Egypt's plans.
Electricity Minister Mohammed Shaker, who attended the meeting, said his ministry is currently reconsidering the use of nuclear energy and coal for electric power generation instead of the current reliance on natural gas by 90%.
