Assistant Undersecretary for Private and Continuous Education at the Education Ministry Dr. Abdul Ghani Al-Shuweikh has attended the Bahrain National VEX Robotics World Championship.
50 teams from public and private schools took part in the competition, organised by the Creativity Private School at the ministry’s Hall in Isa Town.
Each team staged a presentation on their robot before a jury comprising specialists from the University of Bahrain.
Teams of the Creativity Private School and Othman bin Affan Intermediate School won the first category, while Al-Jabiriya Technical Boys School and Um Salama Intermediate Girls School won the second category.
The winners will qualify for the World Championship in Kentucky, USA.
The VEX Robotics World Championship brings together top robotics teams to celebrate their accomplishments and compete with and against the best teams from around the world. The 2015 VEX Robotics World Championship will include top teams from over 500 VEX Robotics Competition tournaments happening in cities around the world from June 2014 to March 2015
