Service of the widely-used social networking website, the facebook, was temporarily shut down in some parts of Europe, the BBC reported early on Wednesday. Users in the United Kingdom and Ireland told the BBC that they could not access into the site for two hours. They also failed to use the service on their personal smart-phones and ipads. The company apologized to the clients for the connection difficulties, caused by technical problems. Identical problems were also reported in South Korea and Pakistan. Some 850 million people use facebook, which was inaugurated in February 2004. The company plans to float USD five billion worth of stocks in the international financial markets.
