Emirati inventor Ahmad Abdullah Majan won four medals for his latest inventions in the field of solar power and environment conservation at the 66th edition of the International Trade Fair of Ideas, Inventions and New Products (IENA2014), in Nuremberg, Germany.
Majan was the first inventor to win so many honours in the history of the event, beating more than 700 exhibitors from 30 countries. He won the gold medal for his solar-powered pet-tracking device, two silver medals for his smart trap and smart duck trap. Another device to protect fishing nets from theft scooped the bronze medal.
The Emirati inventor, who was honoured at the grand closing ceremony of the 4th World Competition of Green Inventions held here last night, dedicated the landmark achievement to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, for his continued encouragement and unwavering support for his career towards innovation and invention.
So far, Majan has won 11 medals in international competitions in the US and UK.
In a statement on the occasion, Majan said, 'The smart leadership school of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has taught us not to rest on our laurels and always move forward.' IENA, the most important international specialised trade show for ideas, inventions and new products, is the professional marketplace for inventors and trade representatives for ideas and inventions. It is a leading trade fair for building contacts and exploring excellent opportunities.
A number of inventions from throughout the world marked their premiere at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre.
It is an important forum for enabling freelance inventors to get in contact with licensees and those ready to capitalise on their potential from all over the world.
