Women who went to university are more likely to participate in sport or physical recreation than those who didn\'t complete school, a report released Friday by the Australian Bureau of Statistics has found. \"80 percent of females with postgraduate degrees had participated in sport or physical recreation in the past 12 months, \" said ABS Assistant Director of the National Center for Culture and Recreation Statistics Paul Pamment. \"This compares with just 62 percent of females whose highest educational attainment was Year 11,\" he added. Women living in low-income households had lower participation rates -- 46 percent compared to 80 percent of wealthier women. The report also found that more women are employed in sports and physical recreation jobs than ever before -- increasing by 31 percent in 2011 since 2006 -- with fitness instructor and swimming coach the most common positions held by women.
