A new initiative, called 'Jeel', is to be launched by Sharjah Businesswomen Council, SBWC, in collaboration with Education For Employment, EFE, on December 8th to support the creative ideas of budding entrepreneurs.
Launched under the patronage of Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Honorary Chairperson of SBWC, and run by the council across Sharjah, Jeel will provide entrepreneurs with incubators for their creative ideas. The incubators provide mentorship, support and guidance to grow innovative business ideas. Jeel will also offer collective and individual training courses and provide professional financial advice alongside surveys to assess market needs.
The initiative will run for three years and will contribute to the economic development and professional empowerment of young graduates in the UAE. The initiative aims to enhance women's leadership in business and to contribute to the creation of a generation of professional women capable of innovating, managing and developing businesses professionally.
The council also revealed that this initiative will extend to various cities in the Emirate of Sharjah, aiming to encourage women in the business sector, and to contribute to creating a generation of professional and creative female innovators.
Ameera BinKaram, Chairperson of SBWC, said, "The Emirate of Sharjah has always believed in the capabilities of Emirati women and provides support and empowerment policies for them through the vision of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Now, with the guidance and leadership of Sheikha Jawaher, the Jeel initiative will further reaffirm the eagerness of Sharjah and the UAE to provide professional support for future generations of entrepreneurs. Through this initiative, Sheikha Jawaher seeks to establish an innovative, effective female generation ready for their own private businesses."
BinKaram added that in providing encouragement and motivation for young graduates to become business owners Jeel will be instrumental in providing new jobs and business opportunities, contributing positively to improving the economic and social conditions of women, the family and the community.
