Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development, has today received Wolfgang Amadeus Bruelhart, Assistant State Minister and Head of the MENA Department in the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was also attended by Hazza Al Qahtani, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of International Cooperation and Development and Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Under-Secretary of International Development in the Ministry. During the meeting, Sheikha Lubna asserted the importance of boosting cooperation between the U.A.E. and Switzerland in order to maximise the benefits of their contributions in supporting international development themes, and responding to the global humanitarian crises, indicating that the U.A.E. spares no effort in providing all possible support and relief to affected people in humanitarian crises, supporting efforts of enhancing education, healthcare, and eradicating poverty in developing communities. Wolfgang Amadeus Bruelhart affirmed the keenness of the Swiss government to enhance the mutual cooperation between Switzerland and the U.A.E. regarding international and humanitarian development, based on the strong relationships between the two countries, also for the advanced status that the U.A.E. has managed to achieve in the international development arena in developing communities, and its effective contributions in responding to humanitarian emergencies. He also commended the U.A.E.'s initiatives in education and healthcare in developing countries.
