President of the Kuwait Association for The Ideal Family and Chairperson of Al-Fatat Sport Club Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Thursday laid cornerstone of a new building due to house the National Council for Women of Egypt. In a statement to KUNA, Sheikha Fariha expressed hope the council would in the future serve better women affairs. Sheikha Fariha, speaking after the ceremony, attended by the council chairman Mervet Tallawy and Cairo Governor Dr. Jalal Saeed, praised the council's role in promoting conditions of the females in the country, affirming that "such a role effectively contributes to resolving the women problems." The council and the Kuwaiti association will be involved, in the near future, in intensive joint activities, namely training courses and awareness promotion campaigns.
