Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), left the kingdom today on a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where she will meet the Chairperson Of UAE Women's General Union, and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation HH Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak.
HRH Princess Sabeeka lauded Shaikha Fatima bin Mubarak's role in supporting and empowering UAE women, which consolidated their contributions at the Arab and global arenas, describing UAE women's landmark achievements as success stories at all levels.
She praised the "pioneering" initiatives launched by HH Shaikha Fatima since the establishment of the UAE, hailing the crucial role of the women-oriented institutions, led by her, in consolidating UAE women's status and enhancing their role in the renaissance witnessed by the UAE.
HRH Princess Sabeeka also highlighted the key role played by HH Shaikha Fatima at the Arab level, noting that she exerted tremendous efforts to promote joint Arab action, especially in women's issues, through supporting programmes and projects aiming to develop Arab women's competencies and enable them to take partners in the nation-building process.
She lauded the UAE's crucial role at all levels at the regional and global arenas.
She congratulated the UAE leadership and people on the 43rd National Day, wishing them further progress and prosperity under the leadership of President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
