Nadya Suleman, the so-called Octomom, is receiving $2,000 each month in welfare from the state of California to purchase food for her 14 children, TMZ reported. One year after giving birth to octuplets in 2009, Suleman swore she would never go on welfare, refusing to become \"a self-fulfilling prophecy\" by accepting government help, the entertainment Web site reported Monday. For her family of 15 to qualify for welfare in California, Suleman has to earn less than $119,000 a year, or the equivalent of about $8,000 for each family member, TMZ said. The cash-strapped La Habra resident has received death threats for her decision to accept government assistance, The Orange County Register reported. \"I\'m not working for your (expletive) kids, you\'re the one that wanted them,\" said one message. Suleman told TMZ she hopes to accept welfare for only a month or two.
