Mom, 4 kids dead after Arkansas fire

A woman and her four children were found dead following a house fire in Jacksonville, Ark., Thursday, authorities said. The victims were identified as Marilyn Beavers, 30; Dequan Singleton, 10; Sydni Singleton, 9; Haylee Beavers, 6; and Emily Beavers, 4; Fox16.com reported. Firefighters responded at 5 a.m. to a call that there was smoke in the house, but responders did not enter the home, police said. The bodies of the five victims were not noticed until a maintenance worker found them around 7 a.m., the TV station said. Police said there was smoke damage inside the duplex but they were not sure of the cause of death. Autopsies were scheduled for Friday, the report said.
