H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, and Chairman of UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA), has commended sound instructions given by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and continuous follow up of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for supporting efforts of the State and national donor agencies to leverage the UAE's standing in the international landscape of development and humanitarian work. Sheikh Hamdan made his remarks during a meeting at Al Nakheel Palace with Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Co-operation, in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development. Sheikh Hamdan viewed the 2012 foreign aid report issued by the ministry at the end of 2013 which highlighted the UAE's humanitarian works abroad. Sheikha Lubna valued the meeting with Sheikh Hamdan and his vision for the UAE foreign aid sector. She also hailed the vital role of the RCA, under his guidance, in responding to humanitarian suffering of those affected by disasters and wars across the world.
