Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has discussed ways to promote cooperation and partnership with the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal, especially in the provision of legal services and counseling for women and children victims of violence.
The cooperation was discussed at a meeting between Sheikha Al Mansouri, Assistant Director-General for Corporate Support at DFWAC and Lawyer Aisha Al Tunaiji, Secretary of the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal.
The meeting was also attended by Maryam bin Theneya, Communication Director, Fatima Hassan Issa, Business Development Consultant, Ghanima Al Bahri, Care and Rehabilitation Director and Badriya Al Farsi, Programmes and Research Director from DFWAC.
The Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal delegation included lawyer Reem Al Garash, Member of the Association, and Noor Hassan, Media Supervisor.
The efforts of DFWAC in supporting and protecting women and children and the available facilities for sheltered victims were highlighted during the meeting.
Sheikha Al Mansouri welcomed the visiting delegation, saying that DFWAC is keen to strengthen relations of cooperation and partnership with the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal, especially as there are many points of common interest between the two sides regarding the legal affairs of the cases that DFWAC receives.
Al Mansouri also praised the efforts of the Association in supporting and strengthening the role of lawyers and legal Emiratis in the U.A.E., as well as raise awareness of the laws and the rights and duties between individuals in the community.
Aisha Al Tunaiji said that cooperation with DFWAC, comes as an initiative of the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal, and within the strategic plan of the Association, to promote cooperation and partnerships with a number of institutions and government departments, and participate with them in the implementation of the objectives of the association, which benefit all segments of society.
