A Kuwaiti charity bazaar, the proceeds of which will go to the Egypt's National Cancer Institute, hosted by the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt's wife Haifa Al-Zamil on Saturday was praised by the wife of the Egyptian Foreign Minister Susan Shukri.
In a statement to KUNA, Shukri praised the initiative, which included many products, hailing its noble humanitarian cause.
Such events work to bring Arab peoples even closer, she said, in reference to the brotherly relations and affection that have kept the two nations close for decades.
For her part, Al-Zamil said there was keenness to organize the bazaar at a time that coincides with Kuwait's local National Day and Libreation Day celebrations.
The event hosted products like foods, clothing, home appliances, perfumes and handicrafts, showcased by the Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of Kuwaiti companies operating in Egypt, and others oporating abroad, the proceeds of which will all go to charity, she said.
Al-Zamil went on to particularly highlight and thank the participation of Kuwaiti women at the event, which she said was organised at such short notice.
