The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) said Tuesday that it will start accepting applications seeking issuance of identification cards (ID) for the children of Jordanian women married to non-Jordanians.
The public relations director at the CSPD, Malek Khasawneh, said the applications will be received through the main center of the department, located in Tabarbour area, and 11 other main offices across the country.
The application pro forma can be downloaded from the official website of the CSPD, www.cspd.gov.jo, Khasawneh said.
The terms for those applying are: the mother should be Jordanian with five years of residency in the Kingdom, a birth certificate for the son or daughter or a copy of his or her passport, certificate of marriage and a documentary proof of residence in the Kingdom, personal photos and proof of citizenship of the non-Jordanian husband.
