Under the patronage of HM the King's Wife also President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the second Gulf Businesswomen's Forum will be launched under the slogan "Bridges of Cooperation and Openness" on 15-16 of current October in Bahrain, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s Chairman Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Moayyed, announced.
BCCI Chairman invited all Bahraini traders, businessmen and businesswomen to effectively participate in the forum that will be held in association with the GCC Chambers' General Secretariat.
He said the forum will discuss the economic challenges facing businesswomen in order to boost their economic efficiency amidst Arab and regional transformations and, to increase familiarisation and compatibility among GCC businesswomen, as well as to shed light on pioneering experiences of Gulf women entrepreneurs.
He added that the BCCI and the private sector proudly and appreciatively look at the Kingdom of Bahrain's selection to host this forum which reflects the distinctive position and reputation attained by Bahraini women in the socio-economic development process and women's effective presence in the labour market.
He pointed out that the forum is expected to attract a large number of Gulf businessmen and businesswomen, members of the Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers Federation , representatives of Embassies accredited to the GCC, small- and medium enterprises (SMEs), chambers, associations, as well as the relevant Arab, Islamic and international organisations.
