The mother of Hannah Anderson, the California teenager kidnapped by family friend James DiMaggio, died of blunt force trauma to the head, an autopsy found. Search warrants said blood was found near the head of Christina Anderson, 44, and a crowbar was nearby when her body was found in a standalone garage at DiMaggio\'s fire-damaged home in San Diego, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday. Both she and her son, Ethan, 8, were \"tortured and killed,\" the documents state. Ethan\'s body was found burned in the home. Authorities say DiMaggio, 40, set a trap for the family, asking them to come to his home for a farewell visit before he left for Texas. Police retrieved letters from Hannah to DiMaggio from the house. The warrants also indicated the teenager and DiMaggio called each other about 13 times before their phones were shut off the day of the abduction. DiMaggio left $112,000 in life insurance to the girl\'s grandmother, Bernice Anderson, a family spokesman said. He named her his beneficiary in 2011, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday. DiMaggio\'s sister spoke to him about his beneficiary and he said he wanted the money to go to Hannah, 16, as well as her brother, Ethan, spokesman Andrew Spanswick said. Hannah. Spanswick said DiMaggio didn\'t want to leave the money to his best friend, Hannah and Ethan\'s father, Brett Anderson, and his wife because he feared they might divorce. DiMaggio was shot and killed Aug. 10 by the FBI in a remote area of Idaho where he was holding Hannah.
