Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) was honoured with the Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Award for Bahraini Women Empowerment 2014 for its efforts and commitment to gender equality and equal opportunity at the workplace.
Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW)'s President, presented the awards to the winners.
Alba was awarded with the second place in the private sector, which was accepted by the Company’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Elham Al Eid.
Speaking on the occasion, HRH Princess Sabeeka underscored the importance of the award in promoting the incorporation of women's needs in the work plans of public and private establishments and encouraging Government's departments to empower women and train them to assume leading and executive roles as decision-makers.
