The Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia (MKF) has organized an induction day for the recipients of the 2013-2014 scholarships. Students who have been selected as part of the scholarship programme were briefed on the scheme which benefits eligible recipients. MKF board of trustees\' chairperson Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa addressed the ceremony, expressing the hope that the number of students benefiting from the programme would increase over the upcoming years. The Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia (MKF) was established on May 30, 2011 as non-lucrative to cater to citizens\' educational needs and aspirations and promote the culture of excellence, quality, good citizenship and dedication. MKF board of trustees\' chairperson Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa stressed the role of the foundation in providing educational programmes that promote human values stemming from authentic Bahraini traditions. Eligible students should be Bahrainis with a minimum average of 85 on graduation. The candidates will also have to pass an interview and opt for academic majors which meet the local labour market needs. Ninety students have so far been admitted to the scholarship programme since the Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia (MKF) was established on May 30, 2011.
