Acting Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Professor Dr. Parveen Shah has said that all required facilities will be provided to promote talented students of the University’s Model Schools that they also compete with students of other schools of the Country. She was speaking on occasion of inauguration ceremony of installation of a heavy load generator to facilitate the students of the school during electric loadsheding hours at Syed Pannah Ali Shah Model School Jamshoro on Thursday. The event was also attended by the Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Abida Tahrani, Prof. Raza Shah Chairman Sindh University Colony, Controllers of Examinations Muhammad Nawaz Narejo and Muhammad Ali Pathan, Director Admissions B.A.Shaikh and others. Dr. Parveen Shah on this occasion appreciated efforts of school management as well as teachers for the promotion of talent among the students and said that attention on teaching and actively organizing co curricular activities on the part of teachers for the students is so essential. She also lauded performance of students in different Tablow’s presented by the students and said that the University would provide all facilities to the students to participate in co curricular activities. She said that students of the school level were most important and they need full attention of parents and teachers that they grow in excellent environment with all facilities. She promised that extra class rooms and staff room for teachers will be constructed very soon and other necessary facilities would be made available as soon as the University would receive promised funds from HEC. She announced that a committee under convener ship of Registrar would be setup to examine the matter of promotions of teachers of Model School. Dr. Shah also visited various classrooms and inspected the teaching there. Ms. Fareeda Shaikh Principal of Model School highlighted the problems face by school due to shortage of school rooms, staff room, furniture and other facilities. She expressed thanks to the acting Vice Chancellor for providing generator and said that due to loadsheding the teachers and students were facing lot of problems. She said that currently 1025 students are enrolled in various classes. She said that from donation of Rs. One Lack received to the school , the school purchased own sound system, 3 sewing machines and 6 batches for school. She said that teachers and students from their own contribution prepared wall paintings and also school arranged tours for the students. She said that students of the school are most talented they won prizes in different Naat, debate programs organized by various school. She said that recently on International Environment Day organized by the Environmental Protection Agency the students of school won 2nd prize on presentation of a tablow .
