Cambridge English, a department of Cambridge University, has signed an agreement with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, KHDA, which will open up opportunities for people who hold Cambridge English certificates across Dubai.
Cambridge English is now a recognised international exam board in Dubai and students who hold selected Cambridge English exams will be able to receive a statement of recognition showing comparability with the UAE National Qualifications Framework, QFEmirates.
The KDHA supports schools, universities, parents, students, educators, investors and government partners to create a high quality education sector focused on happiness and wellbeing.
The signing ceremony was attended by Saul Nasse, Chief Executive of Cambridge English Language Assessment and Dr. Naji Al Mahdi, Chief, Qualifications and Awards in Dubai, QAD, at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority Government of Dubai.
Saul Nasse said, "Our Cambridge English exams are a very reliable indicator of people’s English language ability. Sitting a Cambridge English exam helps people learn English and prove their skills to the world, and I’m delighted our exams have now been recognised in Dubai. Students will be able to demonstrate their skills to schools, universities and employers, and those institutions will be able to find candidates they know can communicate well in English."
