President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, praised the efforts of students, Student Affairs Department and the Maintenance Department exerted in organizing the celebration of Bahrain's National Day at the University of Bahrain. He said the UoB aims to promote the spirit of citizenship among its students through celebrating the Kingdom's national events, noting the attendance and participation of students in all the events, which highlight the high level of awareness they enjoy towards such important occasions. This came during the field visit he paid to the UoB's activities held on the Kingdom of Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 42nd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 14th Anniversary of HM's Accession to the Throne. Dr. Janahi congratulated, on this occasion, Bahrain's leadership represented by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. He opened the activities that were held under the theme of (Bahrain is a Gulf depth and Arabian originality). He and a number of deans and administrators toured the students' activities that exceeded 100 ones, commending their efforts in celebrating this national event. Students presented a variety of works embodied their academic specializations, in addition to sport competitions and entertainment activities were held.
