The Kuwait University (KU) College of Education, in cooperation with the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, inaugurated here on Sunday a national project for harnessing youth skills and investing in their capabilities.
"This project is the first of its kind in Kuwait as it brings together the knowledge of Kuwait University and the work of government and non-government originations to create a new work culture based on full awareness of everything related to youth," the Undersecretary of Ministry of State for Youth Affairs Sheikha Zain Al-Sabah said in a keynote speech at the event.
She added that the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs is coordinating national efforts to support youth initiatives and develop their skills.
For his part, Assistant Dean of the College of Education for Research, Consultation and Training Fayez Al-Thufairi said that over 720 trainees for the different government bodies as well as a number of civil society organizations will benefit from the training project.
He pointed out that the project comprises three training levels; the first started today and will last till January 29; the second to be held during the period 8-29 February; and the third during the period April 5-16.
