Leading universities of Iran will soon collaborate with Pakistani universities and have joint ventures in different fields of education, an Iranian educationist said Saturday.     Iran, Pakistan to collaborate in educational sector        Dr. Masooma Mohammadi, leading an Iranian delegation, during her visit to Pakistan’s distance learning Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), said Pyam-e-Noor distance learning University in Tehran, Tehran University and Industrial University will sign MoUs with Pakistani universities particularly with AlOU in different fields. Dr. Masooma Mohammadi said women week on the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (R.A) is celebrated and leading women in each sector start their journey to Muslim counties to meet women and do something for their inspiring. She said that women are provided opportunities in Iran in each sector to play their role. 60% female and 40% male are under study in the universities of Iran. Dr. Masooma Mohammadi said that \'Shuhada Foundation\' has been set up for rehabilitation of the widows and orphans affected during eight years of imposed war on Iran. The Foundation plays an important role for the welfare of widows and orphans and 50% admissions are granted to the children of martyrs in all best educational institutions across Iran on the recommendation of this foundation, she said. Deputy Consul of Iranian Cultural Center in Islamabad Ali Dashti said that high level delegation of Pyame Noor Open University, Tehran (Iran) will visit AlOU to explore possibilities of signing MoUs in the different fields of education. Vice Chancellor of AIOU, Professor Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi said that Pakistan and Iran are important neighbors due to the geo-strategic location and common faith, history and culture and both the countries want collaboration in different fields to promote cultural experience and mutual understanding. Dr. Sangi said Pakistan and Iran can benefit from each other\'s experiences in the field of folk (traditional and local) medicines, Science and Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Renewable Energy, Women and Gender Studies. He advised Iranians to learn Urdu language through AIOU\' \'Urdu Online\' programme. The delegation met with all the women working in AIOU and visited Radio, TV studios and FM radio station.
