Minister of Education paid an inspection visit to Arabian Gulf University’s medical clinics, where he was received by the President of the University, Dr. Khalid Bin Abdul Rahman Al Ouhili, the Secretary General of the Higher Education Supreme Council, Dr. Riyadh Yusuf Hamza Al Amin and a number of officials. The Minister had a tour in the departments of the 51 clinics, including the various medical specialties, where he was briefed on the advanced devices at the X-Ray rooms, and at the operating theatres, and the rest of the sections. Marking the occasion, the Minister praised the Arabian Gulf University as it is the embodiment of the close ties that bind the people of the (GCC), and its role in enriching the Gulf medical field with outstanding competencies in the various medical specialties, highlighting the role played by Dr Khalid Bin Abdul Rahman Al Ouhili in developing the university’s performance. The Minister also pointed out the near expansion of the university through King Abdullah Medical Town, of which the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Saudi Monarch His Majesty King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia donated to be establishied on a land allocated by His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa for building it. The Minister said that the establishment of that university will contribute in a quantum leap through turning the university into a specialized medical hospital and a research center in the fields needed by the region. At the end of the visit, Dr. Khalid Al Ouhili thanked the minister for his inspection visit to those clinics, highlighting the importance of their role as a research center serving the Arabian Gulf region.
