The fifth international conference on multi-criteria funding, insurance and investment will be held on November (25-27) at the College of Business Management, University of Bahrain (UoB). The International Society on Multi-criteria Decision Making (MCDM) and The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) gave the go-ahead for the conference to be held in Bahrain. UoB President Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Janahi stressed the importance of hosting added value conferences to promote scientific research and build bridges with specialists and keep abreast of international trends. The fifth edition of the conference will attract up to 250 researchers, experts and post-graduate students from different countries who will discuss the latest trends funding, insurance and investment trends. College of Business Management Dean Dr. Mounawer Al-Shammari said that the scientific Committee had slated 85 research papers from 28 countries. He pointed out that most researches had been nominated to be published in syndicated international periodic journals. The three-day conference will discuss key issues, particularly multi-criteria investment portfolio, multipurpose financing programmes, asset management, interest rates, governance of shareholding companies, pension fund management and banking management. The four previous editions of the international conference on multidimensional funding, insurance and investment will were held respectively in Helsinki, Finland (2005), Montreal, Canada (2007), Madrid, Spain 92004) and Tunis, Tunisia (2011).
