H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, today attended a graduation ceremony for the first batch of 129 Masters and PhD students of the university.
In a speech at the ceremony, he greeted the postgraduates and urged them to make efforts to use their knowledge in scientific research to achieve ambitious goals.
Sheikh Sultan also noted that the university seeks to provide students with all capabilities to enable them to pursue their studies.
At the ceremony, Professor Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, said the number of PhD programmes offered by the university will be increased from 8 to 11 next year.
