The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, affiliated with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), launched here, Wednesday, the first national contest for robotics in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The contest is geared towards highlighting the role of robotics as educational tools that encourage students to think, design, implement, and employ educational principles and put them into practical use. Deputy Director of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center Dr. Riyadh Al-Sharaf said that the contest was offered to all elementary and intermediate students at private and public schools. Employing the best of what robotics offer is the main goal of the event, said Al-Sharaf, adding that the competition's finals tomorrow would see 400 teams vying for the prizes
