Yemen and Germany discussed here on Sunday mechanisms to accelerate the implementation of a 20 million Euro agreement to build and restore schools of the capital Sana'a funded by German.
During their meeting, Education Minister Abdul Razaq al-Ashwal and German ambassador to Yemen Walter Hassmann reviewed the bilateral cooperation in the education sector, particularly ways to increase technical support for preparing life skills curricula for basic grades from first to ninth at an amount of $6 million.
They also touched on the efforts to support the education of rural girls and train them in life skills, in addition to technically supporting the arrangements to shift the ministry to the federal status.
Al-Ashwal and Hassmann agreed to design a program to complete the infrastructure for schools that do not have a school building, which are 661.
