The Seventh Annual Conference of Private Schools, entitled " Educational Policies and their Impact on Arab Communities", kicked off at the Dead Sea on Saturday.
The conference, which is organized by the Association of Owners of Private Schools, aims to encourage educational development, ensure the continuation of implementing constructive educational policies, and improve the educational environment through modernizing school programs and curricula to keep pace with development in the educational field.
It also seeks to coordinate policies among private educational institutions and boost cooperation between them.
Senate President Abdul Raouf Rawabdeh said, in his opening remarks, that Jordan, despite its limited resources and challenges facing it, was able to invest in Jordanians and record more accomplishments, mainly in the economic and educational fields. He added that Jordanian educational, medical and technical cadres enjoy the admiration of all Arabs and friends around the world.
Also, Rawabdeh highlighted the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors in all fields, including educational.
The conference will discuss, during its first day, educational rules and regulations and their role in both public and private education, while the second day will review cultural, social and economic changes and their impact on education in the Arab world.
