Education minister Omar Razaz said Saturday that education priorities should be set through a database that links school building planning with the rise in population, local community surveys and teachers’ needs.
He spoke during an inspection tour of government schools in the Salt district in which he was accompanied by the directors of education and two lawmakers.
The minister checked on various facilities at a number of primary and secondary education schools in the region, and asked a special panel to look into their needs and try to meet them with the available resources.
Razaz had earlier had a meeting with educators and administrators in the schools he visited and listened to their needs.
