Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation, and Humaid Bin Mohammed Obaid Al Qatami, Minister of Education, on Monday unveiled the Sharjah-based Halwan Secondary School and Suhaib Primary School. The schools were named after the late Taryam Omran Taryam and Abdullah Omran Taryam.
Last week, the Ministry of Education, under the directives of Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, named the two schools after Taryam and Abdullah Omran.
The unveiling ceremony was attended among others by Khalid and Omran Abdullah Omran.
Throughout their lives, both Taryam and Abdullah Omran provided great services to their countries and displayed being good examples of citizens, who were concerned only with what would benefit their country, society and nation, Al Qatami said.
He pointed out that naming the two schools after Taryam and Abdullah Omran is to ensure that the memory of the loyal citizens will remain entrenched in the memory of the nation for people to learn and adopt the values and principles they represented.
The ministry was keen that the entrances to the two schools contain a synopsis of the lives of Taryam and Abdullah Omran so as to be a significant landmark and a clear lesson for the students seeking the best ways to serve their country, Al Qatami added.
