Iraq's Education Ministry inaugurated Thursday the fourth Kuwaiti-financed school in Basra governorate, southern Iraq, called Shatt Al-Arab Model School, amid wide welcome by local government and education ministry officials.
The school has been financed by Kuwait Fund For Arab Economic Development (KFAED), and it is the fourth in the governorate out of 20 schools which the KFAED plans to establish in several Iraqi governorates, Basem Al-Qatrani, of Basra Education Directorate, stated to KUNA.
Shatt Al-Arab Model School consists of 18 classrooms, several multipurpose halls, and a number of laboratories, Al-Qatrani noted, adding that the school was built on a 9,000 square meter land at Shatt Al-Arab area.
