Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab witnessed the inking ceremony of the contract of preparing the designs for the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST).
Minister of Housing Mostafa Madboli and Minister of Higher Education el Sayyed Ahmed Abdel Khaleq along with Japanese Ambassador in Cairo Takehiro Kagawa attended the event.
Mahlab lauded the strong will to finish establishing the buildings of the university, asserting that it is important to the Egyptian students.
Mahlab also said that the university is a cornerstone for developing bilateral ties in the fields of science, economy and trade.
He asserted that Egypt is on the right track to a scientific renaissance, affirming Egypt’s respect for the Japanese people.
Meanwhile, Kagawa asserted that the university is a center of scientific cooperation between Egypt and Japan, adding that the agreement of establishing new buildings in the university will contribute to increasing the number of enrolled students.
Abdel Khaleq welcomed the visiting Japanese delegation, asserting that the ministry is ready to increase cooperation with the university.
