Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Mariam Al-Wetaid affirmed Tuesday that the ministry is to move on with implementing e-learning projects, some of which have been practically used at schools such as e-Gov and smart board.
Al-Wetaid's remarks came after inaugurating the Kuwait EDUTECH 2014 Conference and Exhibition earlier at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Farwaniya, which focuses on latest updates in the use of learning technology in the education field, and displays latest trends, innovations, and technological advancements in school build.
Over 70 companies are taking part in the two-day expo, which is the biggest event in the field of education technology in Kuwait, in addition to participation by educators at workshops, symposiums, and contests that are accompanying the conference, aiming to increase the level of education and enhance curriculums, the Undersecretary said in a press statement.
She expressed optimism about the success of the conference and in wide participation by private companies, praising efforts exerted by Easa Husain Al-Yousifi and Sons Company in holding an education technology contest for the ministry's schools, which contributed effectively to preparation of this conference.
Al-Wetaid also mentioned that students of the ministry of education, particularly Hamad Al-Rejaib School, have a significant role at the expo through displaying their experiments that won the first place in the Robot contest on Gulf States level, expressing her pride in them and their achievement.
Kuwait EDUTECH is a global meeting place for everyone passionate about transformations of physical and virtual learning environments and discovering how schools or campuses can adapt to physical, educational, and technological changes.
It is the biggest educational event complements government vision to create historic transformation of the education system to deliver excellence and provide students with world class learning environments.
Kuwait EDUTECH also offers opportunity to meet and network with over 2,000 delegates, industry leaders, key decision makers, direct buyers from Kuwait and GCC; all focused on the practical use of physical, learning, and virtual spaces in education.
